It’s snowing outside and I’m finally in the right festive pre-Christmas mood so I would like to share a few poems that my students created during lockdown. These are weird times so it is necessary to stay positive and to remember that we aren’t forbidden to smile (even though you cannot see that behind the masks but your eyes give it out anyway), help each other, be polite, talk to friends and call older people, remember the good moments and be hopeful.
So, enjoy the lines of my first-year students that they wrote in English – a language that they haven’t mastered fully yet. They even dared to share their dreams and wishes with me. May their dreams come true.
