Our task was to prepare a presentation about our mobility in Spain for younger students to motivate them to go and study abroad. First of all, we came to DOV with three other girls that were in Finland. They started first with their presentation and then it was our turn. We were talking about our host families, our Spanish friends, Cádiz, school, food and about places that we visited. For example, we described our relationship with our host families, our new siblings, what our days looked like, what and when we ate during a day. Also, we were talking about Spanish culture and the teaching style in a Spanish school. Then the other students were given time to ask us some interesting questions about our experience.

On October 15th, our school held an “Erasmus Day“, an event aimed at informing students about student mobilities abroad. This event provided a great chance for young students to learn more about studying in Finland and Spain.
Students who had already experienced these exchanges talked about their stay and shared their stories about their exchange. They talked about how these programs not only helped them improve their English but also played a significant role in their personal growth. And of course, they mentioned some of the differences, surprises and things to be careful about during the exchange.
When the presentations were over, students could ask questions about the progress of the exchange and more.
This event highlighted that studying abroad can be not just an educational experience but also a life-changing journey that students will cherish forever.
