The study stay in Spain is already a history but here is the account of what the girls from 5.A8, Majda, Táňa and Zuzka enjoyed during the last two weeks.

Week 5
The fifth week has already ended with some newly made memories. However, my stay isn´t over yet, though the last day is just around the corner.
The T-shirt turned out beautifully and so did the last two days in the camp. Playing board games and table tennis with my host father - guess who won ;) - and practising my Spanish surrounded by people who all treated me like I´d been there before was awesome and I loved it.
Monday morning and late evening were dedicated to school and English academy, while on Tuesday afternoon us three Czech girls went to San Fernando to go shopping. Choosing items to buy was fun and, even when we didn´t leave with many, it was completely worth it.
Apart from going to the beach once and the calls with my family, Wednesday and Thursday didn´t really include anything extra special. Friday followed with yet another beach visit and eating tapas with some friends of Irene´s.
I think that this week was beautifully peaceful, if you know what I´m trying to say. We didn´t do many adventurous activities, but perhaps that was the best part of these 7 days. We were just silently doing whatever had to be done.
I´m incredibly excited for the last week. It´s definitely going to be as busy as it can be, but I hope that everything goes smoothly.
Week 6
The last week was surely unique. I thought I would be really anxious or sad the whole time, but my smile proved otherwise – I tried to make as much as possible out of my stay.
If I wrote here that Zuzka, Majda and I were basically obsessed with doing what we haven´t done yet, it would be true, but too short and incomplete because those were not the only activities we did.
First things first, on Saturday, Irene and her father took me to Córdoba to see the clever and beautiful architecture of the mosque there. We explored other ancient buildings as well and I bought some gifts for my mom and my sister.
Sunday went on at the beach at San Fernando with Majda and her host parents. We had a great time chatting, walking in the sand and searching for shells.
Nothing particular happened on Monday except meeting our Czech teacher, and on Tuesday, us three girls went to the beach once again. On Wednesday there was an unforgettable event – the trailers gala. Our trailer from April didn´t participate in the main categories, so we couldn´t win anything, but we still somehow got a prize.
I practically spent the whole Thursday on the beach – the classmates of our Spanish companions had a surfing lesson, so I watched them trying to stand on the surf and balance on the waves. After lunch I went to the beach again with Zuzka and I finally got to swim in the ocean and then played parchís.
Friday was only about packing and making a mess in my room as well as saying goodbye to everything. And then, on Saturday, after six weeks, I parted ways with Irene and her family.
Those weeks meant a lot to me. I still need to figure out how to balance exams with trying to fall back to my routine, but I can say that I will never forget how much the Erasmus+ benefited me in ways I could have never imagined.

Week 5
This week we didn’t have any holidays and I focused on my school work but there were many other things I did besides homework. On Saturday, we went to the centre of Cádiz with my host family and also with my parents. We visited some familiar places like Caleta beach but we also discovered a few new places for me, which were as beautiful as the rest of the city. The next day we went to Sevilla to go sightseeing. We saw many amazing monuments - Plaza de España, Giralda, the cathedral, La Maestranza – a place, where bullfights are held, and many others. We also visited Feria, a celebration full of Flamenco dance. But the festival started the day after, so we saw only a preparation of it. Sunday was great, but it was quite tiring, so on Monday I went to sleep at half past seven in the evening and I slept until the next morning.
But I wasn’t only studying and sleeping on school days. We went to a shopping centre in San Fernando, where we tried on Flamenco dresses, we looked at some clothes and we tried Mexican fast food. Other day, we spent the whole afternoon on the beach, I took a bath, and we also went to a shop to buy some souvenirs. I also visited Sara’s grandmother and I attended English academy, like every week. On Thursday in the evening, we went to have dinner with my parents, because they returned home on Friday. I enjoyed everything. And on Friday, we headed to Granada on a three-day trip there.
I had a really good time this week and I am very sad that now there’s only a week left. But I will try to enjoy it as much as possible.
Week 6
I couldn’t believe that the last week already came and I would return home. I was very sad that my stay in Spain was going to end but I really enjoyed my last days there.
On Saturday I found myself in an apartment in Granada because we were staying there from the previous day. We went out in the morning and we headed to the town centre, where we visited some monuments and went to a place where we could see the Alhambra and also Sierra Nevada – it was an incredible view. Then we went to have lunch and after that we went to Alhambra itself. I found out that it is a really incredible place, both its beautiful gardens and also buildings with an amazing architecture. It was a wonderful experience. The next day, we just returned home and I spent the whole afternoon on the beach.
On Monday, it was a normal school day, I just went running along the beach in the evening. I enjoyed it a lot. On Tuesday, we went to a gym, we had a bath in the ocean, and we went walking from Cádiz to San Fernando. To be honest, my legs hurt much after that but it was worth it. The next day, we went to the centre of Cádiz, we ate churros and bought some souvenirs. We went to the beach on Thursday and I also visited Táňa’s host family’s apartment. On the last day of my stay, we went to the town centre again and we bought some other things there. In the evening, we had dinner in a pizzeria and I also went to the ocean to bathe my feet. On Saturday, I got up at half past five in the morning, I packed the last things and we headed to Sevilla airport and home.
I enjoyed this week a lot, as well as my whole stay. I’m really grateful that I could take part in this Erasmus program and I could get to know a new place, amazing people and experience wonderful things. I really hope that I will come back to Cádiz soon.

Week 5
My fifth week in Cádiz was quite different from the previous ones — mostly because I spent the majority of it studying. Since it’s my second-to-last week here, school had to take priority for once. I spent the weekdays going to classes and focusing on learning as much as I could before the end of the program. It wasn’t the most exciting part of my stay, but it felt good to be productive and soak up all the knowledge I could.
The weekend, however, brought back the adventure. On Saturday, we traveled south to a beautiful place called Bolonia. It’s a small town with a stunning beach, and on clear days you can actually see Africa across the water — which was incredible. The area is also known for its history with tuna fishing and for creating a special kind of sauce to go with the tuna. It was fascinating to think about the traditions and stories connected to that place.
Then on Sunday, we took a relaxing walk along the beach in San Fernando.
Week 6
My sixth and final week in Cádiz was full of emotions and unforgettable experiences.
On Monday, everything started as usual — I went to school and followed the regular routine. Tuesday brought a bit of adventure. After school, I went on a long walk, around 8 kilometers, enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful surroundings of Cádiz.
Wednesday was a special day. We had a showcase where students presented different trailers they had created. It was amazing to see everyone’s creativity and hard work. Later that afternoon, we took a trip to the city center, soaking in the lively atmosphere and charming streets of Cádiz.
On Thursday, we had an exciting activity — surfing! The waves were challenging but fun, and it was a great way to bond with the others and enjoy the sea one last time.
Friday was a day full of mixed feelings. We said our goodbyes to everyone, and there were a lot of emotions as we realized our time together was coming to an end.
Finally, on Saturday morning, we flew back home. We had missed our parents so much.
This week was the perfect ending to an amazing adventure — full of learning and memories that will stay with me forever.
