On October 17th, students from classes 1.A4, 1.B4, and 5.A8 took part in an Erasmus Days event. We learned that this event has been taking place at all schools participating in the Erasmus+ programme.
Firstly, our teacher and Erasmus+ coordinator Mrs. Romana Vančáková gave us some background information. The programme started in Europe in 1987, and the Czech Republic joined in 1998. She also mentioned the foreign schools our school was currently cooperating with.
Next, the teacher invited some students who had already participated in Erasmus to give their presentations. Girls from 6.A8 (Tatiana Vošvrdová, Magdaléna Trejtnarová, Zuzana Sajdlová), who had visited Cádiz in Spain, talked first about their experience. Later, students from 8.A8, Karin Pichertová and Vojtěch Trejtan, spoke about Finland, Ondřej Felcman about Latvia, and Amálie Štěpánová and Karla Macounová about Spain.
We realized that culture is different everywhere and that each person enjoys something different. At the end of the event, we played a quiz. The students who answered a question correctly were given a prize. Everyone had a lot of fun.
I hope our school will find other schools abroad to cooperate with, and that our students will have as many opportunities to travel and study abroad as possible.
